A Delaware native, Kevin’s creative entrepreneurial spirit was recognized by his parents,  Joseph P. and the late Alberta A Melloy. Growing up in the Rockford Park Highlands of Wilmington Delaware, he was raised with an appreciation of history and nature. He was encouraged to develop his creative free spirit in the arts, technology, and civic involvement.

At age 26, while still in college, he jumpstarted his real estate career by purchasing his first home, and investment properties. In 1992, he completed his bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware, majoring in Political Science with a minor in Fine Arts.

Kevin has listed and sold hundreds of properties in Delaware and since 2021 is a licensed Realtor also in Vermont where he has now his primary residence. His commitment to historical preservation and local activism has earned him many accolades.

In 2001, He was honored by the Delaware Center for Horticulture and The Delaware Community Reinvestment Council for his community service efforts in the Cool Spring Neighborhood in Wilmington, Delaware where he served as President and remains active. He has been involved with Better Block since 2014 and United Neighbors currently focusing mostly on the Wilmington I-95 corridor.

Kevin created the “Art in Real Estate” Open Houses that showcases local art and musicians. His own whimsical art, be it Furniture Art or canvas, Fauvist style, has been exhibited in the Melloy Artisans Gallery in Palmer, Puerto Rico, Gallery Walk in Brattleboro, Vermont, Rehoboth Art League (Delaware), his event café gallery on 7th & North Harrison Street Wilmington, Delaware, and in 2022 his South Union Street Kevin Melloy Studio.

In 2002, Delaware Today Magazine named him a “Maverick” and one of the 40 under 40 to watch.

In 2003, He hosted the RTV Show for 23 episodes highlighting local art with comic muse.

In 2012, Kevin campaigned to be the Mayor of Wilmington, Delaware. Though an unsuccessful bid, he learned many valuable lessons and continues to communicate the empowerment of the American dream thru home ownership and civic pride.

In 2015, He hosted W.H.E.N. Rallies encouraging peace through the arts.

Kevin has been featured on WHYY TV12, WILM, WDEL, DelawareOnline, Out &About Magazine, WPVI, NBC10, NPR, The San Juan Star for his real estate, political and artistic endeavors.

A man of the people who wears many hats, his love of life and exuberance can be seen in Delaware, Puerto Rico, and Vermont.
